Wintergreen essential oil is carefully extracted from the leaves of wintergreen by producers in Nepal. This essential oil offers an intense, minty and slightly sweet aroma.
Fragrant wintergreen, a compact shrub, generally measures between 15 and 30 centimeters in height. Its oval, dark green leaves give off a powerful aroma and its flowers are small, white or pale pink, and turn into persistent red berries throughout the winter.
This specimen thrives mainly in the mountainous regions of the Himalayas, such as India, Nepal and Bhutan. It prefers acidic, well-drained soils, and is often grown at high altitudes.
Additionally, wintergreen belongs to the genus Gaultheria, named in honor of the French physician and botanist Jean-François Gaulthier.
Usage
Dosage: Perfuming essential oil for skin use to be diluted in vegetable oil. Dilute 1 drop of essential oil for 50ml of vegetable oil, i.e. a dilution of approximately 0.06%.
Precautionary advice: Do not use in children under 7 years of age, pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with epilepsy, people allergic to aspirin and salicylates. Do not swallow. Do not expose yourself to the sun for 12 hours after application (risk of photosensitization depending on essential oils). Do not continue use in the event of a skin reaction.
Storage: Store the bottle tightly closed in a cool place and protected from light.
