Aspic lavender is a perennial shrub with evergreen foliage that can reach a height of approximately 60 to 150 centimeters. It is distinguished from other types of lavender by its wider and longer leaves, as well as its spike-shaped purple-blue flowers.

Native to the Mediterranean region, aspic lavender has a long history of use dating back to Antiquity. The Romans appreciated it for its pleasant scent and used it to perfume baths, clothing and places of worship. The sunny climatic conditions, well-drained soils and adequate irrigation of these regions favor the growth and development of this plant.
